Learning & Organization Development

 

Classroom Training:

All our Learning & Development initiatives are aligned with the business needs and goals of the company. Development Action Plans (DAPs) are developed in consultation with their managers and SBU heads to create a learning organization addressed at building a robust & capable organization.

 

E Learning:

RPG Virtual Gurukul provides online learning solutions at project sites & locations helping build capability of managers spread across our wide global locations. Self learning is facilitated by the over 100 technical & behavioral courses available on-line. These courses are designed based on the RPG’s DC competencies & are also to the classroom training curriculum provided at the workplace which supplements the e-learning.

 

Leadership Development Programs

A 12 to 14 day intensive residential program to expose participants to concepts from different disciplines in management so that they acquire the understanding required to develop an integrated, holistic perspective of business. In addition the program imparts basic analytical skills necessary for modeling business decision situations. Faculty consists of senior management across the group and learning is through extensive use of case studies

 

Technical trainings

 

Milestones:

"Milestones" is an in house developed technical training and induction program designed for all fresh engineering graduates who join KEC to be ready for on-the-job delivery with an understanding of the KEC business practices. The program covers & trains participants on all aspects of business in KEC’s gamut right from Marketing & Business Development to Project Execution.

 

Group HR Induction:

A 2 day program designed & conducted by the Group HR to all new joinees in the HR team across the group. The program gives a complete overview of the common group HR policies and procedures to ensure all HR members understand standard processes & practices held common to the RPG group & are thus ready from day one to deliver.

 

External partners:

From time to time we also collaborate with our external partners for delivery of specialized technical skills and training

 

Development Centre:

To assess competencies of existing talent & draw out the required development plan & probable career paths. The assessment is done by trained assessors & helps the Group & respective Company build their leadership pipeline by spotting & nurturing talents early in their careers at RPG/KEC . It helps organic growth of talents to leadership/ business positions also assisting the process of strengthening internal vacancy fill within the Group.

 

Transform:

Transform is the Cultural intervention applied using the 360 degrees feedback tool to embed the KEC culture pillars in the DNA of every Manager. The intervention is to bring about the desired behavioral change as required for our business excellence and to sustain the pace of growth. The feedback analysis from Transform is aimed at helping managers understand & introspect the scope of behavior development. Once understood the same behavior change would be experienced by relevant work teams & strengthen practice by the managers.

 

On-Boarding:

On Board was designed to basket all parts of induction a new joinee experiences under one umbrella. This process helps familiarize the new joinees with his new team members as well as different functional heads with whom s/he will be interacting on a regular basis. The program also provides an introduction to the RPG Group & KEC International Ltd, as well as engages a new joinee along resolving any query that may be faced by him/her.

 

New Training Institute:

With the immense opportunities in the Indian and Global Power T&D industry, KEC recognizes availability of skilled manpower as one critical factor of success in this new decade. To further that, the company has set up the Training Centre at Butibori, Nagpur, with facilities for residential and non residential training. The facility has well equipped and ventilated class rooms, two Dormitories, a sophisticated computer coaching facility & a library. The objective is to create a large pool of supervisory talent for Transmission & Distribution and other infrastructures industry and train them in the latest technology and techniques in the infrastructure field.
