| KEC forays into Water business; Wins first order worth Rs. 31 crore |
Mumbai, April 7, 2011: ,KEC International Ltd. (KEC), world leader in power transmission EPC and diversified global infrastructure major, has forayed into Water business and secured breakthrough order worth Rs. 31 crore. The order is from Water Resource Department of Madhya Pradesh State Government. The project comprises of Renovation, Repair and Remodeling of Canal under Urmil Tank Project in Chattrapur district of Madhya Pradesh.
The company intends to mark its presence in complete value chain of Water Treatment and Water Resource Management which includes Irrigation, Embankment, Flood Control and Construction of dams, barrages, canals, tunnels etc.
Recently, the company tied up with a German company BIOWORKS AG for advanced technologies such as Activated Sludge Process, Sequential Batch Reactor, Rotating Bed Bio Reactor, Moving Bed Bio Reactor etc. BIOWORKS AG is specialised in design and execution of water & wastewater treatment systems and executed projects in several countries across North America, Europe and Asia.
