KEC’s Railways division has transformed into a complete turnkey solution provider in the EPC space. The services include:.
- Civil Infrastructure including earthwork, bridges, tunnels, station building and facilities.
- New Track laying and rehabilitation of existing tracks.
- Railway Electrification and power systems.
- Signalling & Telecommunication network.
The railway team consists of highly experienced and capable experts in project management, design and project execution. The division has developed a strong vendor base and logistics provider network in India.
Achievements
An early starter in the space since 1961, KEC has electrified 5000 track kms. which is significant chunk (~20%) of Indian Railways.
The Company is executing civil infrastructure, track laying, signalling and electrification projects for Railways including a composite project for Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd.
The Company is executing overhead line equipment installation work in Malaysia.
In September 2010, KEC acquired a railway signaling company – Jay Signalling Private Ltd. This will further enhance KEC’s capabilities to offer the entire range of services in railway infrastructure projects globally.
