2024

KEC International celebrated significant milestones across its diverse business segments during the year. The Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Business excelled, achieving remarkable project completions and securing substantial tower sales orders. In the SAE Business, positive performance trends were observed, including successful solar plant installations. Notably, the Civil Business contributed to key infrastructure projects such as the Kochi Metro Phase 1B inauguration. Additionally, the Railways Business expanded its reach internationally with notable projects. The Oil and Gas Business made strides with successful ventures in new markets, while the Cables Business showcased its capabilities at industry events. Emerging Businesses exhibited promise, securing orders in emerging sectors like Solar and EHV Cabling.

2023

KEC expanded its Civil portfolio by securing a breakthrough order for building a multi-specialty hospital in Eastern India. In the Railway segment, it strengthened its position with new orders in Signaling and Telecommunication for Automatic Block Signaling system and OHE works for speed upgradation. It also successfully expanded and diversified the tower sales business geographically.

2022

KEC forayed into emerging areas such as Digital GIS Substations and HVDC terminal stations in T&D business. To widen its Civil portfolio – it entered new segments such as commercial buildings, logistics, and paints. It further expanded its presence in technology-enabled areas of Metro Electrification – OHE & Third Rail, Power supply systems, and Ballastless track works. In the Railways business, it forayed into new technology segments such as KAVACH (TCAS) and Automatic Block Signalling (ABS). The company’s Cables business developed ten new types of cable products. In the Oil and gas Pipelines business, the company forayed into station work development projects.

2021

KEC acquired Spur Infrastructure Private Limited, an EPC company in the Oil and Gas Pipelines sector. The acquisition enables KEC to accelerate the growth of the Oil & Gas Pipelines business. Acquisition of Spur Infrastructure is in line with KEC’s strategy to diversify into adjacent areas of growth. KEC’s proven project management capabilities and extensive experience of executing cross-country linear projects and managing Right of Way (RoW), along with Spur Infrastructure’s technical knowhow, experienced manpower and relevant pre-qualifications will enable KEC to capture the lucrative growth opportunities in the oil and gas cross-country pipelines EPC sector in India as well as in international markets.

2020

KEC acquired a state-of-the-art automated transmission tower manufacturing facility in mainland Dubai, with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum. The acquisition provides us a strategic foothold to cater to markets with high growth potential in the Middle East and other regions. It also enhances our credentials to expand our business in the MENA region on account of local price preferences and increases our cost competitiveness due to fiscal benefits.

2017

KEC expands its business portfolio to include Smart Infrastructure with a focus on Smart Cities & Communication, Smart Mobility and Smart Utility.

2016

Pioneered the use of Covered Conductor Technology for a project in Bengaluru.In line with the Company's vision, KEC expands its business portfolio to include Civil Construction with a focus on Residential buildings, Industrial plants and Commercial complexes.First Indian EPC Company to receive the latest 2015 International Standard IMS Certification covering all our EPC BU works, encompassing a large scope in India and 30+ countries that we operate in.Successfully installed 35 MW of projects with the single axis tracker technology, probably the largest in the country

2015

First 765 kV GIS Substation in Thiruvalam, which is also a first-of-its-kind in South India.

2014

Executed one of the most prestigious river crossing projects in West Bengal involving tower construction in mid river and along the shore. A first of its kind in India, the total height of individual River Crossing (RC) tower structure is ~236 meters (775 feet). This is about 75% of the height of Eiffel Tower. The weight of each RC tower is ~1790 MTs.
Secured first turnkey order in Solar space.

Established a world-class greenfield facility at Vadodara, Gujarat for Manufacturing of high tension (HT) and extra high voltage (EHV) power cables.

Forays into Water EPC Business.

Acquired SAE towers in the Americas.
Acquired and merged RPG Cables.
World’s Highest capacity (1,200 kV) tower testing station started at Nagpur, India and tested first 1200 kV tower.
