Mumbai, November 3 : KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a global leader in the power transmission EPC business, has bagged three orders worth Rs. 135 crore from Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW), Afghanistan, Rs. 90 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited(PGCIL) and Rs. 10 crore from Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board(CSEB).
The MEW, Afghanistan order is a Turnkey project for the supply & construction of 220 kV double circuit lines associated with the Tajikistan-Afghanistan Interconnection Project for the Afghanistan Portion. The lines are to be constructed from Shekanbandar to Kunduz (61.25 kms) and from Kunduz to Pul-e-Khumri (95.34 kms). The total length of lines is 157 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
The PGCIL order is a Turnkey project for the supply & construction of lines associated with Chamera (HEP)–III Transmission system. The two lines to be constructed are 220 kV D/C (Twin Moose) Chamera – III – Chamera Pooling Station Transmission Line(15 kms) and 400 kV D/C Chamera Pooling Station – Jallandhar Transmission Line (53 kms). The lines are to be constructed in the state of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The total length of lines is 68 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
The CSEB order is a Turnkey project for complete supply of Towers, conductor, line materials and installation of 132 kV Transmission line from 132/33 kV S/S Kawardha to proposed 132 kV S/S Pandariya. The total length of the line is 37 kms. The line is to be constructed in the state of Chhattisgarh and the duration of completion of the project is 7 months.
