Mumbai, May 12, 2009: KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a global leader in the power transmission EPC business and an RPG group company, has bagged three orders totaling to Rs. 111 crore in the Middle East, Australia and India.
The Middle East order, awarded by TRANSCO, Abu Dhabi, is for diversion of 220 kV & 400 kV transmission lines to a new ICAD 400/220/33 kV Grid Station. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months. In addition to this order, the company has also bagged variation orders to its existing projects. The total value of these orders is Rs. 58 crore.
In addition to the Abu Dhabi order, the company has also bagged a Rs. 26 crore Tower Supply order to be executed in Tasmania, Australia. This is the second order within four months of re-entry in Australia.
In the domestic market, the company has bagged a Rs. 27 crore turnkey transmission line order from the West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company. The project involves construction of Transmission Lines on Turnkey Basis for the 132 kV D/C Gokarna – Lalgola & 132 kV S/C LILO of Gokarna – Lalgola Line. The total length of the line is 60 kms and the project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.
