Mumbai, October 22, 2009: KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a global leader in the power transmission EPC business and an RPG group company, has won orders from the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) and Africa (Chad) aggregating to Rs. 470 crore.
In the Middle East (Saudi Arabia), the company has won two orders totaling to Rs. 400 crore. The scope of the orders includes survey, design, engineering, planning, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of:
These orders will be executed through the Saudi joint venture of the company.
In Africa (Chad), the company has won order of Rs. 70 crore for Rehabilitation, Reinforcement and Extension of electricity distribution network for the city of N’djamena. Execution of this order will be done through the wholly owned Middle East Subsidiary of the company.
