KEC International wins orders worth Rs. 868 crore
Mumbai, October 15, 2012: KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a global infrastructure EPC major, an RPG Group company, has secured new orders worth Rs. 868 crore in its Transmission, Power Systems, Telecom and Cables businesses.
Transmission Business:
The Company has secured various orders in India, Abu Dhabi, Tunisia and Philippines.
- India (Jharkhand) - Rs. 227 crore order for Supply and Erection of 400 kV, 220 kV and 132 kV transmission lines in the Jharkhand on turnkey basis. The order is secured from the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The project duration is 15 months.
- India (Himachal Pradesh) – Rs. 64 crore order for Supply and Erection of 400 kV, 220 kV transmission lines in Himachal Pradesh on turnkey basis. The order is secured from the Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (HPPTCL). The project duration is 15 months.
- Abu Dhabi – Rs. 278 crore order for Design, Supply and Erection of a 400 kV transmission line between Ruwais and Bab grid stations on a turnkey basis. The order is secured from the Abu Dhabi Transmission & Despatch Company (TRANSCO). The project duration is 24 months.
- Tunisia – Rs. 88 crore additional order from its existing transmission line project in Tunisia. The order is secured from the Société Tunisienne de l'Electricité et du Gaz (STEG).
- Philippines – Rs. 38 crore order for Design, Supply and Erection of a 138kV Single Circuit transmission line between Matanao and Klinan in Mindanao Island on a turnkey basis. The order is secured from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). The project duration is 15 months.
Power Systems Business:
The Company has secured Rs. 72 crore order for design, supply and construction of four 400/220kV Substations on turnkey basis in Punjab and Goa. The order is secured from the PGCIL. The project duration is 16 months.
Telecom Business:
The Company has received a Rs. 62 crore order for supply and establishment of Fibre Optic Communication System in the Western region in India. The order is secured from the PGCIL. The project duration is 20 months.
Cable Business:
The Company has secured various orders for supply of Power Cables and Telecom Cables. The total value of these orders is Rs. 39 crore.
